During my 20 years in New York, I  worked as a writer and editor at New York University. I have also worked as a substitute teacher in the San Francisco Community College District, as editor of the Portola (CA) Reporter, as a stringer for The Nevada State Journal, and as a public relations writer/editor at the University of the Pacific, St. Andrews College, and Rutgers University. My freelance credits include Tulane University, The Santa Fe New Mexican, and The Taos News.  


I have published articles, prose, poetry, and reviews in Orion Quarterly, Watch & Clock Review, West Coast Review, Cairn, St. Andrews Review, Under the Sign of Pisces, The Human Voice, Our Only Hope is Humor, the Mexico Quarterly Review, Ariel, Roger: An Art & Literary Magazine, and Ezra, an online magazine of translation.

I hold a M.A. in American Studies from New York University. I also studied at Universidad de las Americas in Pueblo, Mexico, where I met Lynda. We have lived and worked in San Francisco, Italy, North Carolina, and New York City. We currently live in New Mexico.
