EXPERIENCEDuring my 20 years in New York, I worked as a writer and editor at New York University. I have also worked as a substitute teacher in the San Francisco Community College District, as editor of the Portola (CA) Reporter, as a stringer for The Nevada State Journal, and as a public relations writer/editor at the University of the Pacific, St. Andrews College, and Rutgers University. My freelance credits include Tulane University, The Santa Fe New Mexican, and The Taos News.
In 2009 my wife, Lynda, and I launched Palisade Press as a small, independent publisher of poetry, translation, photography, and art.

I hold a M.A. in American Studies from New York University. I also studied at Universidad de las Americas in Pueblo, Mexico, where I met Lynda. We have lived and worked in San Francisco, Italy, North Carolina, and New York City. We currently live in New Mexico.
